Automatic wire strippers are indispensable equipment in modern electrical installation and maintenance. Their efficient and precise wire stripping capabilities significantly improve work efficiency. However, without regular maintenance, equipment performance may decline and even compromise operational safety. Therefore, proper maintenance is crucial.
Daily Cleaning and Inspection
After use, promptly clean any remaining wire scraps and dust from the inside of the wire stripper, especially around the stripping blades and the wire feed channel. This prevents debris from accumulating and causing mechanical stalls or reduced accuracy. It is recommended to remove debris with a soft brush or compressed air at the end of each day and inspect the blades for wear or looseness. If the blades are blunt, replace or polish them promptly to ensure stripping quality.
Lubrication and Mechanical Maintenance
Regularly apply an appropriate amount of lubricant to transmission components (such as rollers and guide rails) to reduce friction and extend equipment life. Also, check for loose fasteners (such as screws and nuts) and retighten them if necessary to prevent abnormal vibration during operation. For models with automatic wire feeding, it's also important to monitor the operating status of the sensors and motors to ensure stable signal transmission.

Electrical System Maintenance
Check the power cord and plug for aging or damage to avoid leakage. Regularly clean dust from the control panel to prevent short circuits or button malfunctions. If the device is idle for an extended period, it is recommended to disconnect the power supply and protect the internal circuitry from moisture.
Proper Operation and Regular Maintenance
Operators should strictly follow the manual to avoid overloading or incorrect parameter adjustments. A comprehensive maintenance is recommended quarterly or every 200 hours of operation, including tool calibration, drive system commissioning, and electrical safety testing to ensure the device is always in optimal condition.
Through effective maintenance, automatic wire stripping machines can not only maintain efficient and stable performance, but also effectively reduce failure rates, extend service life, save costs for businesses, and ensure operational safety.
