At a Zhejiang auto parts factory, four fully automated production lines operate with precision at a rate of three pieces per minute, a vivid reflection of my country's manufacturing industry's intelligent transformation. As the core of Industry 4.0, fully automated production line equipment is reshaping the global production landscape.
These "iron armies" of robotic arms, sensors, and intelligent control systems have reduced the number of workers in a traditional workshop from hundreds to just a dozen. After introducing a fully automated final assembly line, a home appliance company saw a 300% increase in single-shift production capacity and a sharp drop in product defect rates from 3% to 0.05%. Even more impressive is its flexible production capability: through programming adjustments, the same production line can switch from producing air conditioner compressors to dishwasher housings in just eight hours.
In the field of precision manufacturing, fully automated equipment demonstrates unique advantages. On semiconductor packaging and testing lines, six-axis robots place chips with micron-level accuracy, while laser inspection systems capture errors down to 0.01 mm in real time. This "never-tiring" operation has enabled my country's photoresist coating yield rate to exceed the industry-leading 99.99%.
It's worth noting that domestically produced fully automated equipment is breaking the monopoly held by foreign manufacturers. An AGV logistics system developed by a Shenzhen company uses 5G and visual navigation technology to achieve ±2mm positioning accuracy, at a cost of only one-third that of imported equipment. Data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology indicates that by 2023, the density of industrial robots in my country will reach 392 per 10,000 workers, a nearly threefold increase from five years ago.
These tireless "digital workers" are not only driving exponential increases in production efficiency but also fostering new business models such as personalized customization and service-oriented manufacturing. With the deep integration of fully automated production lines and the industrial internet, China's intelligent manufacturing is accelerating towards a future vision of "dark factories."
